Church warden Jane Wells said that seven or eight waterproof wooden shingles had been dislodged from the spire in the storm on Easter Monday, leaving the roof felt exposed.

Pictures from Eddie Mitchell show a worker from A.Harfield Ltd carrying out repairs to replace the missing roof tiles, equipped with pulleys, ropes and a very long ladder.
