Picturing the Past
FASCINATING images of Victorian Horsham are among treasures held at Worthing Library as part of a vast resource of past pictures.
Among the delights is animage of a Royal Mail coach outside the post office in Horsham, an image which dates from about 1900.
Driver Alfred James Stedman dressed in uniform jacket and hat, gaiters and gloves and holding a whip, sits in the driver's seat of a Royal Mail horse-drawn van with VR on the side.
