Hastings Pier, now well advanced in the £14 million renovation work, is looking for catering companies to take on the planned Pavilion Restaurant.
The restaurant will be a 100-seat food and drink facility to be housed in the pier’s remaining original building, the Western Pavilion. Aside from a 100-seat restaurant inside there will be outside seating for a further 40 in good weather and the pier will be actively selecting catering apprentices as part of its staffing plan.
“Obviously, the aim is that the pier be a profitable enterprise with a secure future so this tender is open nationally, but we have specified that whichever company is successful it must provide apprentice places and recruit these from the local college,” said Simon Opie, CEO of the Hastings Pier Charity. Companies can access details of the tender from a number of advertisements both nationally and locally and visiting: www.hpcharity.co.uk.
