TV presenter and former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan touched down in his home village of Newick on Sunday for his annual family cricket match.
Piers was accompanied by Brian Lara, former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, Adam Hollioake and Courtney Walsh.
The celebrities won their Twenty 20 match against the senior Newick players, but the village clawed honours back to pull level when their first team beat the incomers.
Newick Cricket Club spokesman David Whelpton said: “It was a brilliant day. The match started at about 1.30pm and play went on to 7.30pm. A good day for the village with loads of people watching.”
Piers Morgan was bowled for a duck.
