Ninety year-four pupils from the Vale Middle School in Findon Valley took part in swashbuckling musical comedy Pirates of the Curry Bean.

Rhoda Wilson, head of year four, said: “It was fantastic, the children were wonderful. I think it was the best primary performance I have seen.”

Parents and family members were equally as impressed according to Miss Wilson.

She said: “They couldn’t believe they had learned so many lines and performed it so professionally.”

The musical tells the story of Jack and Liza’s quest to rescue their mum, Pearl Periwinkle, after she is kidnapped by pirates.
