PIRATES RAISE CASH FOR HOSPICE

SHIVER me timbers . . . a pirate party helped raise £350 for the St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne.

Residents of Framfield saw in the New Year at the villages' Memorial Hall with a Pirates of the Caribbean themed party.

Mike Ziolek, breakfast show presenter on Uckfield FM, led a motley crew of 'pirate DJs' and revellers of all ages danced the night away dressed as pirates, wenches, skeletons and admirals.

Jack Sparrow made a number of appearances and one brave 13-year-old boy even turned up dressed as Elizabeth Swann - the leading lady from the film.
