Pirates sightedat Winchelsea
The Cinque Ports were notorious on both sides of the Channel during the Middle Ages for the piracy of their sailors.
That will be related in Winchelsea on Saturday 22 November by popular Romney Marsh historian Jill Eddison. The talk is hosted by the Winchelsea Archaeological Society in St Thomas’s Church at 3pm. All are welcome. Entry is £4 to non-members.
