PLAN TO SELL PARTS OF HOSPITAL SITE

It has been revealed that West Sussex Primary Care Trust's drastic plans for downgrading the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath include raising up to £24 million from selling parts of the hospital site- to spend in Brighton

Now local MPs, whose constituents look to the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath for their healthcare have pledged to campaign together in the light of the axe now hanging over key services including Accident& Emergency.

At a meeting in Westminster last week, the four, Norman Baker (Lewes), Nicholas Soames, Mid Sussex), Charles Hendry (Wealden) and Nick Herbert( Arundel and South Downs) met to form a campaign of action.

As a first step a re-worded petition was launched and local parish councils, community groups, and GPs are being asked to help collect signatures.
