Planning application submitted for new sixth form at Seaford Head School

A proposal to build a new sixth form at Seaford Head School is gathering pace as a planning application is submitted to Lewes District Council.

The school has asked for permission to demolish the caretaker’s accommodation and build a new entrance and reception area.

It also wants to build a new single storey extension at the back of site at 71 Steyne Road, containing specialist teaching rooms, internal alterations to existing school buildings and external landscaping to create a new sixth form centre for Seaford Head Academy Trust.

Lewes District Council’s planning committee will have the final say on the scheme.
