PLANNING: Church bids to open door for changes

RUSTINGTON Parish Church is set to undergo changes to its interior layout next year.

And as part of the scheme, plans have been submitted to Arun District Council to remove 103-year-old iron gates from the west porch and fit new glass doors and infill glazing to the timber frame above the gates.

The planning application is in the latest list submitted to Arun in the Gazette area, which also includes:

ARUNDEL: replace nine casement windows with new casements and sliding sashes and make new door opening to the east elevation (this application affects the character and appearance of the Arundel conservation area), 22 Park Place.

Reinstate timber jetty using existing three piles, Riverside House, 2 Fitzalan Road.

LITTLEHAMPTON: first-floor rear extension to create one-bedroom flat, and new entrance porch (re-submission, following LU/226/13/; this affects the character and appearance of the Littlehampton seafront conservation area), 19 Norfolk Road.

Three detached houses with garages (re-submission of unimplemented permission LU/339/10), land next to 18 Mill Lane.
