Plans for a Felpham site to be shown

IMPROVEMENT plans for Felpham Recreation Ground are going on show.

The proposals will be on view at the site off Hook Lane, Bognor Regis, from 11am-2pm on Tuesday (April 3).

Arun District Council manages the area and wants to hear residents’ views about the details of a grant it is seeking from the Veolia Environmental Trust.

The three main areas for consultation are: improving the play area, seating, signs and access; sports improvements to the cricket outfield; and environmental improvements, especially the Greener Bognor Network’s plan for a community orchard.

Oliver Handson, the council’s parks manager, said: “The site is in need of investment.

“We are working with all the users and our partners to put a successful bid together to benefit the local community.”

Staff from Arun’s parks and greenspace department will be at the site’s cricket pavilion to discuss the proposals.

The bid for funding, from landfill tax credits, has to be made by April 27.
