The plans propose the building of a decking platform to enable disabled people to fish and enjoy wildlife watching.

In its application West Sussex County Council says the design has been amended several times after initial consultation with the community surrounding the pond. An existing smaller wooden platform used by the angling society will also be replaced, improving the site for those users.
