Residents will have the chance to speak to representatives from AmicusHorizon and Rye Partnership, and leave comments.

The new community centre would replace the existing centre which is located in a disused school.

Those behind the plans say it would be a modern structure, more cost-efficient to run, yet still accommodate all existing users. It would provide a flexible space and a lounge-style area, with soft furnishings, where exhibitions could be held.

Lenka Muir, project manager at AmicusHorizon, said: “The local community is key to the success of our plans for the development. We’re looking forward to sharing our plans.

“We’d like to invite local people to come along to the public consultation and give us their feedback.

“We’re keen to work closely with the local community to deliver a scheme which is sensitive to its surroundings.

“AmicusHorizon is well established in the area and wants to continue to build on these strong relationships.”

The feedback and any amendments to the plans will be displayed at the Tilling Green Community Centre foyer between August 3-28.
