Plans for more operating days for Lewes Farmers’ Market

An application to increase the number of days the award-winning Lewes Farmers’ Market operates has been welcomed by members of the Town Council.

The Planning Committee heard proposals to use the Cliffe pedestrian feature for the popular event on 25 days per calendar year.

A decision is due to be made by Lewes District Council planners on April 1.

An application to convert the ground floor of 10 Edward Street to a self-contained flat raised the committee’s concerns regarding loss of parking.
