If successful, the application would see the former Littlecote Children’s Home given external material changes, changes to fenestration, new parking areas and some landscape alterations.

The veterinary clinic, which has been described in the plans as being ‘sui generis’, expects to employ six staff members with a maximum of four staff on the site at any one time.

It is expected that there would be a maximum of five clients at the clinic at any one time.

The clinic’s proposed operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm, and 9am to 12pm on Saturday.

Animals will not generally be on site out of hours, according to the plans, unless the animal is ‘too ill to be moved’.
