Plans in brief

THE following planning applications have been received by Rother District Council:

• 163 Barnhorn Road – replacement of existing extract flue with new cowl.

• The Pelham Hotel, Wrestwood Road – three antennae on a chimney, an installation of a cabinet at the rear of the building and ancilliary development.

• Colonnade, West Parade – introduction of guarding to Metropole Lawn at existing Colonnade steps between terrace and promenade.

• 12 Beaulieu Road – new extension, garage and internal alterations along with roof conversion and first floor balcony.

• Maryland Farm, Watermill Lane – alterations to redundant farm buildings (pig swill shed and dog kennels) to form holiday cottage to let.

• Bexhill High School, Down Road – installation of a 12m timber pole with a 1m steel extension supporting three flat panel antennae.

• 5 Downlands Close – partial demolition of front wall to provide new driveway.

• 10 St James Crescent – conservatory at rear.

• 10 Gatehouse Close, Beaulieu Road – removal of single velux rooflight to rear elevation roof and to replace with second velux cabrio.

• 16-18 Pebsham Lane – alterations to plots 3-7 approved under RR/2007/2837/P (appeal reference APP/U/1430/A/08/2064523)

• 14-16 Devonshire Road – New Boots fascia and projecting signs to replace existing.

• 16 Constable Way – oak (T1) reduction because size is affecting light and encroaching on three other properties (reduction of 25 per cent with a light thin 15 per cent and removal of dead wood) tree to be reshaped into natural form.

• 57 Birkdale – removal of existing front porch and construction of new larger front porch.

• 13 South Cliff Avenue – new two storey extension, extended rear dormer and internal alterations extension and enlargement of existing driveway.

•3 Squirrel Close – thinning and crown reduction of 25 per cent to two oak trees.
