There were bricklaying demonstrations from our trainee builders, forge demonstrations by our trainee metalworkers, and lots going on for the children who could try throwing their own pots the potter’s wheel and also paint wooden spoons and egg cups.

With a huge selection of beautiful plants on show and massive displays of our hand crafted metalwork and wooden furniture, all made by our award-winning young craftsmen, it was a good day out and a successful one.

The General Manager, Paul Yallop said: “We wanted to hold a celebration to demonstrate the work of our young people and their managers, and to show everyone the fabulous display of plants and showroom goods we had grown and made. Judging by the positive comments we received, a fantastic day was had by all. This was the first time we have held such an event and be hope to build on it in the future.”
