The difficulty which arises when the column has to be written at the beginning of the week, is that sometimes things change during that week.

I refer specifically to the weather. Last Monday was not very promising, and look what a glorious week we had. Today is sunny with some clouds, but the forecast is not brilliant. Wait and see seems to be the motto. The farmers are getting most of their harvest in while it is dry.

Tomorrow is the start of Rye Arts Festival. See posters for details.
