Players Needed

THE Chanctonbury Community Playscheme for handicapped children is looking for volunteers to help during the summer break.

The scheme, which started in 1977, runs each summer for mentally and physically handicapped children, between two and 19 years old.

It aims to give parents of scheme users the chance to have a break, while their children are kept entertained with fun activities.

Volunteers are needed to help out with various activities, such as canoeing, swimming, horse riding, barbecues and story telling.

The scheme will be running until August 24, at Palatine School, Durrington.
