Plea for Poppy collectors

THE Pett District Branch of the Royal British Legion have put in a desperate plea for collectors for this year’s Poppy Appeal.

Collectors are needed for Pett, Fairlight, Guestling, Icklesham and Three Oaks

Poppy Appeal organiser John Pulfer said: “We are in desperate need for house to house collectors.

“October and November are our busiest months. If any members of the public, over 16 years of age, are able and interested in the Legion’s work, perhaps they would consider giving us just a little of their valuable time between October 27 and November 11 this year.

“We are also looking for new adult members and youth members, in the area. They do not have to be ex-service personnel, and youth members under the age of 16 only pay a £5 one-off fee until they become an adult member.”
