Please find attack victim's jewellery

POLICE are seeking the return of Lancing assault victim Keith Mills' stolen jewellery.

Mr Mills, husband of Adur council chairman Angie Mills, was attacked by a group of youths after a firework was posted through his letterbox on November 6.

During the assault, which happened on Beach Green, Lancing, between 7pm and 7.30pm, it is believed his attackers stole some items of jewellery from him '“ a stainless steel Seiko watch with a blue dial and a gold necklace.

The necklace has been described by the victim as a 30in gold, link chain with a distinctive large ankh hanging from it. The ankh has the victim's initial, "K", engraved on it.DC Colin O'Hare said: "These items have been taken at some stage during the violent assault suffered by Mr Mills.

"They are of sentimental value to him and his family and we are urging any person with the jewellery to ensure its safe return. If you know where these items of jewellery are, you can hand them into any police station or you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Six youths, aged 16 to 18, have been arrested for the attack on Mr Mills and bailed until January 15 for further inquiries.
