PAUL NICHOLSON – RESIGNATION Plumpton Parish Council has, with regret, received the resignation of Chairman Paul Nicholson effective from 31 December, 2015. In his comparatively short service, as a Parish Councillor, Paul has contributed greatly to the work of the Council guiding it towards a greater efficiency and effectiveness for the benefit of residents. In particular he has been a driving force behind the Plumpton Parish Neighbourhood Plan, which is close to publication and public consultation. Paul’s resignation is caused by a change in his professional role which will no longer permit him to devote the substantial amount of time necessary to fulfil such public duties. His colleagues on the Parish Council wish to thank him for the sterling work that he has done during the past four years and congratulate him on his achievements. They naturally all wish him well for the future.

FOOTPATH SOCIETY CIRCULAR WALK via the Downs is on Wednesday February 3. All are welcome to join them, just meet at 10.30am at Plumpton village hall (Map Ref. 362 165). There will be a stop at the Half Moon for lunch and the route back will be by Plumpton College. The walk leader is Jo Taylor; for more information call 01273 890450 or 07870142108.
