AGE CONCERN: Are offering a bus service to Sainsburys for shopping on a fortnightly basis. Cost £7 per journey. Pick up at Polegate and Willingdon. To book your place phone 638474.

COFFEE MORNING: The coffee morning tomorrow, Saturday, at Polegate Community Centre is hosted by Polegate Residents Association. All welcome in the lounge from 10am to noon.

WALKS: Tomorrow, Saturday, To Hilliers and Back, 4.5 miles with Mavis and Diana. Meet at School Lane, Polegate 10am bus 51, 9.23am Terminus Road, St and H. Level walking refreshments at Hilliers. Or, Winter Wanderer, 8 miles with Bob B. Meet a Glinda Village car park 9.45am GR 457088. PH option, some steep climbs and stiles. On Sunday, The Long Way Round, 10 miles with Peter D. Meet bus 12, 9.46am Terminus Road to Friston Pond where walk starts at 10am. Dry lunch, easy pace walk, moderate hills. On Wednesday, A Walk On The Downs, 9 miles with Angela F. Meet at the Avenue 9.45am walk starts at Glynde recreation ground car park off A27, GR 457088. One steep hill, and one down.

WANTED: Information on descendants of Marie Corbett 1859-1932, nee Gray, married to Charles J. Corbett. Dame Margery Corbett Ashby, Cecily Corbett Fisher, Eva Maclaren and Frances Heron Maxwell.
