COFFEE MORNING: The coffee morning at Polegate Community Centre tomorrow, Saturday, is hosted by Polegate Pre School Play group, who have a few places left in their classes. So do have a chat with them I the lounge from 10am to noon.

POLEGATE DRAMA GROUP: Proudly presents the traditional and fun for all the family pantomime Aladdin. At the start of the dram groups 50th anniversary year. Our first production of the year is our panto Aladdin which will be on at Polegate Community Centre from Saturday January 14 to Sunday January 22. Tickets are £10.50 adults and £6.50 children, are now on sale. Performances are 7.30pm on January 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 and at 2.30pm on January 14, 15, 21 and 22. BOWLS CLUB: Are having a stall tomorrow, Saturday, at Polegate Community Centre Christmas Fair.

CHRITMAS FAIR: Tomorrow, Saturday, at Polegate Community Centre, Windsor Way from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Father Christmas will also be visiting at 12.30pm for the children. We have 24 stalls for you to come and do your Christmas shopping.

MENS SOCIETY: The next meeting is on Monday when our speaker is Derek Legg on St Johns Guild. Meeting held at St Johns Church, High Street, Polegate. Tea at 2.30pm, meeting starts at 3pm.

LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY: Two members from Eastbourne Local History Society attended the remembrance tea and show presented by pupils of Langney Priory School, who in words and music, acting and dancing gave an excellent presentation on The Life of Nelson Victor Carter VC. Their findings are also published in a book, Remembering Nelson Victor Carter VC by Michelle Pollard and pupils of Langney Primary School. Lavishly illustrated with coloured pictures and drawings by the children. Copies of this book can be obtained from Langney Primary School.
