Polegate hard of hearing group discuss digital TV

THE EFFECT of digital TV will be the subject of discussion at the next meeting of Polegate Hard of Hearing Group.

What does the digital TV switchover mean to you? Do you need to buy a new TV? Do you need a new aerial? How much does a set-top box cost? Is there any financial help available to buy the necessary equipment?

These questions will be addressed by David Rown during the discussion held in an easy-to-communicate atmosphere during the event from 10am until 11.30am at The William Daly Centre, Walnut Walk, Polegate, on January 24.

The group meets once a month and is run by the East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre.

Different speakers attend each month to talk on a variety of subjects and equipment is demonstrated which can be of help to hard of hearing people. You will also learn useful tips on how to communicate with deaf or hard of hearing people so your friends and family might want to come along too.
