Police appeal after arsonist strikes

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an arsonist struck a property in Tarring.

A fire was started outside the front door of a flat in Tarring Road between 11pm and midnight on May 13, while someone was inside

A Force spokesman said: "Luckily, this potentially dangerous situation ended safely.

"The flat is above a large veterinary surgery opposite a Working Mens' Club on the junction with Bruce Avenue, Worthing. The club would have been emptying at the time."
