Police appeal after assault in East Street

Sussex Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured after an assault in East Street, Brighton.

Officers believe the 20-year-old victim was assaulted by a group of people at 4.25am on Sunday (November 27). He was found lying in the street with injuries to his face and teeth taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where he underwent treatment.

Detective Constable Vicky Lofts said: “The victim suffered a nasty two inch deep gash wound to his forehead, three chipped teeth and bruising and swelling to his face. We want to hear from anyone who may have seen this assault.”
