Police appeal after driver is seriously injured at Petworth

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 49 year old man from Petersfield was seriously injured when his car collided with a tree near Petworth on Saturday (October 29).

The silver Vauxhall crashed close to the A272 junction with Kingspit Lane shortly after 11am.

Sergeant Peter Verney said: “We believe a light coloured Range Rover drove past the scene not long after the reported collision and could have seen something which would help our investigation.
