Police in Seaford are appealing for information after more than £2,000 worth of equipment was stolen from a premise on the Cradle Hill Industrial Estate.

Glass in the front door of one of the units was smashed sometime overnight between 6pm on Tuesday, June 9 and 7.40am on Wednesday, June 10. Offenders ransacked the office and made off with a number of power tools and a laptop.

Police are also linking this incident with an attempted break in at the unit next door sometime overnight on Monday, June 15. An attempt was made to break the window and force open the door, but no entry was gained.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: “As there have now been two very similar incidents on the estate we want to warn all of the businesses about these burglaries and urge them to be vigilant.

“We would ask them or any local residents to report any suspicious activity to the police. If anyone has any information about this offence or any others we would like them to contact the police either directly or via Crimestoppers”

Anyone with information is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 185 of 09/06.

Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
