Police appeal after Havant assault

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on an 18-year-old man in Chidham Close, Havant.

The man was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital with puncture wounds to his legs, but his injuries are not life threatening.

This is being treated as a targeted and isolated incident.

Police were called to the Havant address at around 1.20pm on Tuesday, January 21.

Three people were seen leaving the address sometime between 12.30pm and 1.20pm. Police are keen to identify these people. They are described as:

A black man, aged late twenties to mid thirties and wearing a black coloured padded jacket

A man with tanned complexion, approximately 6ft 1ins tall, with a thin moustache on his upper lip

A woman, also with tanned complexion and in her late teens, possibly wearing a red top or scarf.

Detective Sergeant Martin Crocker said: “We are treating this as a targeted and isolated incident; there is no risk to the wider community.

“House to house enquiries are continuing today, we would encourage anyone who lives in this area to contact us if they noticed anyone matching these descriptions yesterday lunchtime.”
