Police appeal after Littlehampton assault

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Littlehampton on Wednesday, May 11.

The victim, a 33-year-old local man, was out with friends when he was punched to the side of his face by an unknown man in Terminus Road around 1am, according to Sussex Police.

Police said he was then surrounded by a group of men, before one knocked him to the floor and punched him several times, leaving him with a fractured arm.

The main suspect is described as white, 5’10”, of large build, with short dark brown hair and a short beard. He was wearing a baseball cap and had a tattoo on the right-hand side of his neck, according to police.

Detective sergeant Simon Smith said: “This was a violent assault which happened quite close to The Crown pub and we would like to hear from anyone who saw the attack.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 30 of 11/05.”
