Police appeal after theft from charity boxes in St Leonards

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a break-in and theft involving charity boxes in St Leonards.

At around 6.10pm on Thursday, November 24 an intruder forced entry into the lobby of a residential block in Eversfield Place, police have said.

Once inside, he helped himself to charity boxes in which residents had been placing donations to St Michael’s Hospice and the RNLI lifeboat fund.

Anyone recognising the man or having other information that may assist detectives is asked to get in touch.

They can do so by emailing [email protected] or phoning 101, quoting serial 895 of 30/11.
