Police appeal after three attacked in Arundel town centre

Three people were hurt in an attack in Arundel town centre on Saturday night (November 3).

The victims, two men and a women, were walking along High Street towards its junction with Tarrant Street at about 11pm when an estate car drove up and a man and woman got out.

The woman pedestrian was grabbed by the hair, and then the two men with her were pushed to the ground. One suffered a minor injury to his head and the other required surgery to his hand.

A police spokesman said: “We are investigating the circumstances leading up to this assault and would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who saw an estate car in the area shortly before it happened.

“Anyone who can help police with their enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting serial 0919 of November 4. Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.”
