Police appeal after two cars collide in Pagham

A ROAD in Pagham was closed for several hours after two cars collided.

Around 3pm yesterday (Tuesday, December 3) the silver VW Caddy and a black VW Golf, crashed at the junction of Sefter Road and Hook Lane.

The driver of the Caddy, a 57-year-old male from Southampton was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to St Richards Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the Golf, a 54-year-old female from Bognor Regis suffered slight injuries.

Inspector Paul Wood said: “I would like to thank the members of the public that stopped to administer first aid to the drivers of both vehicles.

“I would also like to thank the local community for their patience, whilst the roads were closed and the collision scene was examined.”

Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to call them on 101 or email [email protected] quoting Operation Stanstead.
