Police appeal for witnesses to garage fire

THE QUICK actions of an observant Bexhill resident prevented serious fire damage over the weekend.

The fire, which East Sussex Fire and Rescue say was started deliberately, was in a garage at the St Lucia flats on Bexhill seafront.

Police and rescue services were called at approximately 3.45am on Sunday morning by a member of the public who observed two young males acting suspiciously near the garages.
