Police appealing for witnesses

POLICE investigating the crash in which 75- year-old Bexhill pensioner Lionel Willis died have issued an renewed appeal for witnesses.

They are particularly keen to speak to the drivers of several vehicles seen immediately behind Mr Willis' Renault Clio before before it left the A159 trunk road at the top of Barnhorn Hill at about 1.25pm on November 24. They say that, to date, none of these drivers has come forward. The silver Clio hit a tree. Mr Willis was found to be dead at the scene.
