Police arrest man wearing women's underwear and stockings in public toilet

A man was caught committing a sex act in a public toilet - while wearing ladies' underwear and fishnet stockings.

The 57-year-old man from Brighton was caught red-handed by police at around 1.45pm on December 27 in the gents' toilets in Pinwell Lane, Lewes.

PC James Vitler from Lewes Police said: 'A member of the public saw what he was doing and called us, we had an officer in the area and we caught him and arrested him.

'He had some other clothes with him and when he was searched we found he was carrying a flick-knife.'

He was arrested and released on bail.

On Sunday (January 20) he returned for further questioning and was given a police caution for committing sexual activity in a public lavatory and for possession of an offensive weapon.

PC Vitler said: 'We get a few incidents reported from here and in the past we've increased foot patrols in the area and on Ditchling common, particularly in the summer months.'
