Police car overturns after crashing into parked car

A POLICE car crashed into a parked car and overturned.

A fire arms unit car from Lewes police HQ hit a stationary vehicle in Priory Street, Lewes, just before 4.30am today (Wednesday).

An ambulance rushed to the scene but the officers in the car did not suffer any injuries.

A Priory Street resident told the Express: 'We were woken up at around 4.30am by a horrific noise, only to look out of the windows and find a police car on its roof.

'Two officers were unharmed and walked away from the vehicle.'

A full investigation will be made by police crash investigators.
