A spokesperson for Sussex Police said it will be some time before forensic scientists can access the building due to the ferocity of the fire and the subsequent damage caused.

The identities of those affected have not been officially released.

Emergency services were called to the semi-detached house at around 1.19am.

Police say there are no further details available at this time.
