Police deal with reports of '˜ambulance fire'

Police have confirmed they were called to reports of an ambulance fire this afternoon (December 1).

Police said they received a call at 3.10pm of an ambulance on fire on the A259 Horsham Road, in Littlehampton.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “We were called at 3.10pm.

“When we arrived, we found the ambulance was not on fire but rather there was a fuel leak and a possible problem with the radiator causing steam.

“There were no patients on board and no injuries to report.

“We left the scene at 3.30pm.”

There are no road closures in place, police said.
