Police give New Year "bogus" taxi warning
POLICE have issued a New Year warning to the public to be on their guard against a possible bogus taxi driver.
Inspector Martin Mann of the Bexhill Neighbourhood Policing Team issued the warning after a Rother District Council taxi licence plate was stolen off the back of a Bexhill cab and the roof-top lighting bar taken off another.
The thefts occurred in separate incidents in the town centre.
Police fear the two might be linked.
