Police helicopter flies over Broadbridge Heath after 15-year-old robbed

A police helicopter flew over Broadbridge Heath last night after a 15-year-old was robbed in Three Bridges, the Force has said.

Officers said they were called to Three Bridges Road at around 8.30pm last night (Wednesday June 8) after reports of a street robbery.

“A 15-year-old boy from London was approached by three men who threatened him before stealing his I-pad and running off towards Crawley train station,” a spokesman said.

“Officers conducted a thorough search of the area along with the police helicopter.”

“One of the suspects is described as white, around 25-years-old, 5’10” with short blonde dreadlocked hair and wearing a short sleeved t-shirt.

“Another is described as skinny and was wearing pyjama bottoms with symbols on them.

“The third suspect is described as having shaved blonde hair and stubble. He was wearing a dark t-shirt, jeans and trainers.”

Witnesses are asked to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 1681 of 08/06.

Sussex Police said the helicopter flew low over Broadbridge Heath as it made its way back to base to refuel.

It then went off to another job in the Kent area.
