Police have donated £150 to Seahaven Girl Guides to fund “Girls Go Wild”, a girlguiding all day event on May 17.
The event is run by the Sussex Wildlife Trust and is for seven to 15-year-olds.
It aims to educate the guides about the surrounding area and nature.
It will involve arts, crafts and fun activities including nature trails, pond-dipping and owl displays.
Sallyann Reed, district treasurer, said: “The girls from Seahaven District are extremely grateful for the very generous donation of £150 from the Police Property Act Fund.
“They would like to thank all those involved in helping to organise this donation as it will help greatly with their fundraising for the “Girls Go Wild” day in May.”
The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
