Police hunt conmen who robbed pensioner

TWO tricksters who conned their way into a pensioner's home and stole his money are still being hunted by police.

PC David Sands this week issued an appeal via the Observer for anyone with information about the theft on Wednesday, August 21 to contact him at Bexhill police station on 0845 6070999.

The two men called at the elderly householder's home in Pebsham Lane at about 11am.

"They explained that his roof needed repairing and that they were willing to do the repairs for him.

"One was described as being white, about 20 to 25 years with dark hair and of thin build.

"The other, of roughly the same age, had fair hair and thin build.

"Once inside the man's home one of the men distracted him while the other stole money from within the home."
