Police hunting drivers of '˜suspicious' van spotted throughout East Sussex

Sussex Police are hunting a van with the number plate BK52P2V.

It has been reported to the police six times so far in February, having been seen around Newhaven, Hailsham, St Leonards and Hastings.

The driver and his passenger, also pictured, have been spotted rummaging around gardens, looking for bikes, scrap metal and car batteries, say officers.

Sussex Police said, “One specific offence linked to this van has been reported so far, the attempted theft of a car battery which was outside a house in Hythe Crescent, Seaford, on February 4, but if you notice the van or its occupants around your area please contact the police via [email protected] quoting serial 330 of 15/01.”
