Police hunting youths after ‘suspicious’ Yapton blaze

The blaze took place in Downview Way, Yapton, at around 9.15pm.

A shed and surrounding shrubbery were destroyed by the fire, but no one was hurt.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said today (June 9): “A group of youths had been seen nearby at the time of the fire and officers would like to speak to them or anyone else who may have seen what happened.”
