Police name driver who died in A21 accident

A WOMAN who died in a crash on the A21 on Friday afternoon (May 23) has been named by police.

Barbara Ann Hare, 66, of Park Lane, Wallington, Surrey, died when a car and lorry collided on the stretch of road at Kent Street.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Sergeant Mel Doyle, of the Sussex Police Road Policing Department, said: “The driver of the car tragically died following the collision.

“Her relatives have been informed and she has now been named as Barbara Ann Hare.

“The crash happened at about 2.10pm and we would urge anyone who saw what happened to call police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting Operation Northmoor.”
