POLICE investigating an accident on a pedestrian crossing in which a boy cyclist was hurt want to interview an elderly driver.

In an appeal via the Observer this week, police said the accident happened at the Puffin crossing on the A259 at Glyne Gap near the Esso filling station at about 1.20pm on Sunday.

They say a 10 year-old local boy was almost across the road and the crossing lights were still flashing when his cycle was struck by a car, believed to have been a Rover.
