Police seek men involved in Lancing burglary

BURGLARS were caught stashing their haul in a hedge hours after being seen fleeing from a Lancing house.

An elderly man, in Annweir Avenue, disturbed two men when he returned home at about 1pm on Saturday. He shouted at the men who ran from the back of the house. One of them may have been wearing a blue baseball cap.

Later in the day, at about 4.30pm, two women were in the Eriswell Road area of Worthing when they saw two men discard a carrier bag in a hedge. They opened the bag and found cash and jewellery stolen from the house in Lancing hours earlier.
