Police seek to identify man after Eastbourne rape report

Do you know this man? Detectives are looking to identify him following the reported rape of another man in Eastbourne on the evening of Wednesday, February 15.

Police said a man in his early twenties said he had been raped by another man in a street near the railway station in Eastbourne town centre just after 9pm that evening.

The man in the photograph is described as 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build.

Detective Sergeant Scott Gosling, of the East Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit, said; “Our enquiries are still at an early stage and we are in the process of establishing exactly what has happened. We have had no other similar reports.

“If you think you know this man, or if you saw him in Eastbourne that evening, or if you are that man, please contact us via [email protected] quoting Operation Asti.”
